PR Coordinator - Maternity Cover


Stephen Webster Ltd, the London-based luxury jewellery brand internationally heralded for its exquisite and cutting edge designs continues to flourish under its founder and creative director, Stephen Webster. Taking inspiration from music, fashion, literature and art to produce contemporary, bold and glamorous collections, this unique approach to fine jewellery has been some 40 years in the making. 

This role is responsible for providing the development, marketing and promotion of the Stephen Webster Jewellery Brand in line with the company’s annual communication strategy to maximise the brand awareness of Stephen Webster amongst opinion formers, celebrities and International, Regional, Fashion, Specialist and Trade Press.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all send outs for editorial and celebrity dressing - liaising with merchandising, logistics and retail to locate and pull stock.
  • Conduct appointments with journalists, stylists, celebrities and VIP's to loan product.
  • Use SAP to process all loans - accepting stock into PR location, generating loan paperwork and then subsequently returning stock into PR location, then onto MS/Vault.
  • Respond to requests from UK and ROW journalists for high res imagery and press releases and subsequent credit information.
  • Manage interview requests for SW: setting up telephone interviews and answering Q&A's on his behalf.
  • Pitch new collections and news stories to long lead, short lead and online publications.
  • Identify opportunities for product placement and features.
  • Create and then distribute press releases for all new collections and brand news (new ad campaigns, website, awards, collaborations etc).
  • Generate and distribute media alerts for celebrity dressing to appropriate media.
  • Act as the global hub for the US Agency so that they may distribute brand news/launches etc in the US.
  • Handle requests from US Agency for quotes from SW, interviews, product for shoots, credits.
  • Build and maintain relationships with editors and stylists; sharing with them brand news and collections relevant for their publication (desk side appointments, breakfast/lunch meetings etc.).
  • Collate and maintain up to date press lists (short lead, long lead, online, celebrity, trade, international).
  • Evaluate all press coverage generated globally to produce monthly reports.
  • Arrange security guards to accompany high value jewellery to photo shoots and in order to cut costs, often personally deliver and collect the jewellery from shoots, magazines and celebrities.
  • Organise press days and press launch events: pulling in all available samples, organising props, catering, flowers, gifts, venue and all literature then distributing invitations and following up with journalists to confirm their attendance then conducting appointments on the day.
  • Liaise with the design team to understand inspiration behind new collections then collate press releases and high res images for press packs for Couture and press days.
  • Secure appointments with US journalists for Couture then conduct appointments to promote new collections.
  • Put together seasonal look books - identifying trends and press-worthy pieces then circulate to all fashion desks.
  • Work together with Marketing to identify key pieces to be professionally photographed.
  • Maintain relationships with sponsors and brand partners
  • Manage special projects with charities and brand collaborations (Handle charity requests for donations.
  • Identify editors / influencers / celebrities then organise the gifting of key pieces in the lead up to a launch.
  • Support retail with in store events: organise catering, flowers, alcohol sponsor, invitations, stock, goody bags, visual merchandising and manage guestlist as well as bringing potential partners on board (Coutts, Quintessentially etc).
  • Organise and manage VIP events; venue, alcohol sponsor, jewellery display, guestlist, RSVP's, flowers, gifts, catering, entertainment, photographer, post event press outreach.
  • Manage filming requests for television and documentaries.
  • Work closely with marketing team to plan and execute the marketing calendar; ensuring social / e-com / marketing / PR all align to support product launches.
  • Identify advertising opportunities then negotiate rates to place print advertising in line with the budget.
  • Manage subscriptions for PR resources

  • Previous PR experience with the luxury sector is essential
  • Previous PR experience with jewellery is an advantage
  • Previous experience of using SAP
